Hire the Best, Brightest, Most Deserving Teens
Great Help When You Need It
YouthForce interns met or exceeded their supervisors performance goals and expectations 92% of the time.
Our internships are year round, able to begin and end anytime of year you want. During the school year our teens provide your staff with a motivated, energized end-of-day support person, helping you catch up, get work done and out the door between 3-5pm.
While teen schedules match your end of day rush, your position also meets the needs of teens. Our internships provide what teens need most: constructive after school activities, work experience that matters, jobs that don’t interfere with their school or family life, and role models that inspire them to reach their greatest potential.
It’s no wonder that YouthForce has received over 3000 applications since 1999!
Teaching Achievement and Hiring by Merit
Too many teens feel that who you know is more important than what you’ve accomplished- we hope you can help disprove this.
YouthForce demonstrates to teens that achievement, hard work and positive attitudes are the keys to opportunity.
Through YouthForce, employers are able to reward the achievements and perseverance of teens, especially those from low income and minority families
Evidence Of Success: For Teens and Employers
YouthForce interns have worked in over 65 innovative businesses as diverse as the career interests of teens.
Long term clients include leading companies like ZymoGenetics, Expeditors International, Amazon.com, Jones Soda, Cushman & Wakefield, Stoel Rives LLP, Helsell Fetterman LLP, WongDoody, Radarworks advertising and others.
Our interns are 72% female, 78% minority, 80% low income, and 40% speak languages other than English at home.
Working together with our employer partners, YouthForce has provided 210 motivated, low income and minority teens with more than 75,000 hours of mentored, paid internships. Most earn over $3000 for college and family expenses.
Teen interns average 8 months in their position. Working from 3-5pm four days a week, teens gain, on average, 280 hours of mentored career experience. That’s nearly twice the longevity of most temporary employees.
